Christchurch Roundtable, a local charity who donate to local causes in Christchurch will be running the treecycling with help from local volunteers. All monies raised will go back directly to the local area through our charitable donations.
Which areas do you collect in?
We will collect from all BH23, BH25 & BH5, BH6, BH7 postcodes. If you are in an SO postcode, please contact us and we can provide a price. Please email trees@christchurchroundtable.co.uk with your collection postcode.
Who supports this charity scheme?
This scheme is supported by Christchurch and organised by Christchurch Round Table.
How can I contact you?
You can contact us on our submission form or by emailing trees@christchurchroundtable. Please be patient, we are a charity and run by volunteers so it may take a day or two to get back to you.
Do I need to be in when my tree is collected?
No, your tree will be collected between 08.00am and 17.00pm. Please make sure your tree is out in your designated collecting position, obvious to our volunteers and we will collect and recycle your tree.
When should I leave my tree out?
Please leave your tree out on your selected date and we will collect between 08.00am and 17.00pm.
How will the volunteers know where my tree is?
Please leave your tree in an obvious position – preferably on your driveway, not blocking public walkways or footpaths. On your submission form, please state your collection position so our volunteers can easily identify it.
My tree is over 7ft, what should I do?
Our collection limit is 7ft high. If your tree is larger, please contact us and we may be able to arrange a special collection service.
My tree is very wide, is this a problem?
On larger trees, we may remove branches at your property to ease transportation, however, be rest assured, we will clean away all needles before leaving your property.
Will you treecycle my business Christmas Tree?
Yes, we will collect from residential or commercial addresses, please book as usual and state the name of the business to collect from. Remember, we ask for donations of £10 per tree.
Why don’t you collect in my area?
We are a charitable organisation, run by volunteers, we have to limit ourselves to areas we believe we manage suitably. If your outside our area, please feel free to email us trees@christchurchroundtable.co.uk with your postcode and if possible, we will provide you with a collection cost.
My tree was not collected, what should I do?
If your tree was not collected, firstly we apologise, please get in contact as soon as possible and we will arrange an immediate collection.
Why are you charging for this service?
We are a local charity organisation; all our normal fundraising events have been cancelled this year due to Covid 19. We are organising this event to try and give some money back to local causes and individuals in need. If you would rather not use our service, you can take your tree to your local refuse point for free.
I don’t’ want to pay online
No problem, simply email us your name, collection address and preferred date, we will add you to our database and collect your tree in the usual manor, but also collect payment by cash at the same time. If you pay on the collection, we ask £12 donation instead of £10 advance payment to cover our increased administration costs. You will either need to be home to provide payment or leave in an envelope with the tree. If we don’t receive payment, we will not be able to collect your tree.
Can I cancel my booking?
Once booked, we cannot cancel your order as we don’t have refund capabailities, however we can re-arrange your collection date. Our collection dates will be Saturday Janaury 8th and Sunday January 9th. Please email us to change your chosen collection date. trees@christchurchroundtable.co.uk.
Can I add a tree to my booking?
Yes, we can add extra trees to your booking, please email trees@christchurchroundtable.co.uk and advise us. We will need to collect the extra payment of £10 per tree when we collect the trees.
When is the closing date?
We are open until 7th January 2022 to book your collection, however once we reach our tree collection limit, we will close our booking system.
The form has closed before the closing date – why?
We will close our online booking system once we reach our maximum treecycle limit.
How do I make a complaint?
In the unfortunate event of a complaint, we will endeavour to resolve it as quick as possible. Please email us @ trees@christchurchroundtable.co.uk.
